Parking in Yarm

Parking is available in Yarm on the High Street, and behind the High Street

The High Street is divided into 3 areas.

The section outside our office is an area where no parking restrictions apply, except that parking must be within the designated spaces. The traffic control officiers adopt a zero tolerance policy to double parking and parking in non -designated areas.

The section further down the High Street as marked is a disc parking area.

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:

1. The area is a disc zone between the hours of 8.00a.m and 6.00 p.m

2. During those hours you must display a disc in your vehicle on the dash board,

3. The disc has a clock on it and you must set the clock to the right time on your arrival at the parking space.

4. If you do not have a disc you can obtain one from Yarm Library situated on the High Street.

5. We hold a disc for the  temporary use of our clients, so if you arrive and park when the Library is closed , or you forget your disc please let us know.

6. You are permitted to park in the disc zone for 2 hours only, that parking is free.

7. The disc parking regulations are strictly enforced and  fines are in the region of a minimum of £25.00

The disc zone ends at the other end of the High Street and this is again marked , the area after the disc zone  is again not subject to a parking time limitation and it is free but you must park correctly as stated above.

Free parking is available in a small public car park to the back of the High Street behind the office
