@forths now has a fully trained Resolution Collaborative LawyerCommunication is key, really listening and being listened to this is something that your standard family case will not usually provide to anyone. The process is not limited to divorces or separations. Questions about the children , where they live, when they see you are all very well suited to being resolved Collaboratively. How about pre and post nuptial agreements how useful would it be to all sit round and openly discuss your concerns and all of the finances. All with the benefit of having independent legal advice from your own lawyer. You may find that actually you agree on a lot of things and even the areas where you do not agree at least you can see what the other's point of view is and understand why they hold it. It differs from Mediation as you both have a Lawyer who is specially trained in the Collaborative Process and legal advice can be given to you both. The process is entered into freely and it progresses at the pace that you both wish it to. You can discuss what you like in the process and expert help can be given to everyone by one agreed joint expert if this is required. Alison Skene completed the three day training course in London in March 2011 Alison is delighted to be able to help her clients resolve family cases in this non confrontational way to put the family first and to achieve a settlement that is open and flexible to the families needs. Gillian Bishop's leaflet A client's Guide to a Collaborative Divorce - putting your family first is an excellent and east to read guide please contact Alison about obtaining a copy and for a discussion of how the process might help you family.
